"The earth dances for those who see."

Metanoia is a visual film and dance performance by Marit van der Heijden and dancer Lisa Frey, 
created during the Honours Program Cross-over Creativity, at the School of the Arts in Utrecht, in 2016.

“Metanoia” was a very special project for me. First of all, because it was my first dance piece I created. The collaboration with Marit was a very fruitful one! And it combined for me the mediums I like working with the most – dance and film/visuals. Also the topic was close to my heart: Me, the Mother Earth, who is suffering of what is done to her by humans. It was great to embody this in dance. Having a very young and creative team around me (for visuals, costume, music), made it even more enjoyable.
